Clear answers.
A real point of contact.
A few things to know while DGS takes shape.
Will there be bulk package pricing?
Yes—bulk package pricing is planned after launch. Rates, package sizes and availability will be announced when ready. The launch service price is $19.99 per card.
What happens to my prepaid fee if I decline slabbing?
A $11.99 grading & processing fee applies, covering the human inspection of your card. The $8.00 slabbing portion of your prepaid $19.99 is refunded on your final order. The same fee and refund apply to disqualified cards. Return shipping and optional insurance are separate.
Which cards and locations are supported?
At launch: standard-size Pokémon and Magic cards in English or Japanese. Service is available in the United States and US territories.
Will a valuable card cost more to grade?
No. The $19.99 grading and slabbing price does not increase with the card’s value or final grade. Shipping and insurance are separate considerations.
What happens to altered, counterfeit or ungradable cards?
Altered, counterfeit or otherwise ungradable cards are disqualified from grading and slabbing. A $11.99 grading & processing fee still applies for the human inspection, and the $8.00 slabbing portion of your prepaid $19.99 is refunded on your final order.
Can I set a minimum grade before slabbing?
Yes. The planned ordering flow lets you set an optional minimum grade per card. If the inspected grade falls below it, slabbing pauses and DGS requests your decision through your account and email. You have up to seven days to respond. Choose slabbing at the prepaid price, or return the card unslabbed. An unslabbed return keeps the $11.99 grading & processing fee for the human inspection, and the $8.00 slabbing portion is refunded on your final order. After seven days without a response, DGS proceeds with the prepaid slabbing and return.
How does shipping work at launch?
Service is limited to the US and US territories. Standard return shipping is $8.95 for up to 20 cards; 21 or more cards use a variable rate. You arrange inbound shipping and are asked to insure your cards. The $8.95 return-shipping fee excludes insurance. Optional return insurance is offered separately after grading.
Is preliminary grading free?
Introductory access is planned to be complimentary with a DGS account. Available access options and any applicable charges will be shown before you begin.
Will the final grade match my preliminary result?
Preliminary grade — subject to final physical inspection. Staff inspect every physical card and may correct observations or change the final grade.
What will physical grading cost?
$19.99 per card for grading and slabbing. Standard return shipping is $8.95 for up to 20 cards; larger orders use a variable rate. Optional additional return insurance is separate. Checkout is not open yet.
How long will grading take?
The planned turnaround target is 1–2 weeks from the arrival of your cards at DGS. This is a target, not a guaranteed delivery date. Ordering is planned for fall 2026, around Thanksgiving.
How will return insurance work?
After grading, an email and account notification will offer optional additional return insurance at a clear price. You can accept or decline. No extra insurance charge will be made without approval. Carrier coverage, the response window and dispatch policy are still under review.
Is a prepared label the same as shipped?
No. Grading complete, insurance decision pending, shipping label prepared and actually shipped will be separate states.
Do I need an account for updates?
No. The interest signup is optional and separate from the account that will be required to scan and receive a grade.
